Description
What type of wine it is
The Arveglio from Poggio dei Gorleri is a still white wine made from 100% Pigato grapes, grown in Liguria. Belonging to the Riviera Ligure di Ponente appellation, this wine faithfully reflects the essence of its territory of origin. It presents a straw-yellow colour and reveals fruity and citrus notes reminiscent of the sea breeze. On the palate, it is fresh, balanced and soft, supported by a dynamic rhythm and an inviting sapid finish. It is a wine that promises a magnificent evolution over time, with a remarkable estimated longevity.
Where it comes from
This Pigato originates in Liguria, specifically in the Riviera Ligure di Ponente area. The close proximity to the sea plays a fundamental role, giving the clusters an unmistakable territorial imprint, characterised by a distinct sapidity and iodised nuances. Since 2003, the Merano family has been cultivating its vineyards with a focus on enhancing the surrounding environment, striving to best express Liguria's natural winemaking vocation.
How it is produced
The production of Arveglio follows rigorous sustainable agricultural practices. In the cellar, as in the rows of vines, the use of chemicals is minimised, processing the grapes with great care to preserve their varietal authenticity. The winemaking process involves ageing for 10 months in steel, which allows the freshness and expression of the fruit to be maintained, followed by a further 10 months of rest in the bottle before being released to the market, ensuring a wine of great precision and cleanliness.
