Where it comes from
This wine is born in the heart of Vosne-Romanée, within the famous Côte de Nuits. The Richebourg area, historically classified as Grand Cru, is known for the production of opulent and extraordinarily long-lived reds. The vines sink their roots into a limestone-gravelly soil with moderate clay infiltrations and a thin surface layer. How it is produced

Domaine A.F. Gros is a family-run winery founded by Anne-Françoise Gros. The tradition is carried on today by the family: two of the three children work at the estate, sharing the responsibilities. One is in charge of winemaking, working alongside the oenologist François Parent, while the other supervises business development, management and sales, keeping the winery's renowned global reputation alive.

At 25 years old, Anne saw the family domaine grow from 3 to 6.5 ha. Recently, she invested in a new cellar. She is a winegrower suspicious of certitude and fastidious about maintaining her freedom.
As a female winegrower, Anne knew how to prove herself and convince all who doubted her ability to manage a domaine. She showed that she had not only the shoulders but the head to make her family heritage one of the greatest domaines of Burgundy.
In 1984 she had to stop studying Arts to study vines’culture and oenology in Beaune and Dijon. Now her passion for vine and wine as well as her talent, sensitivity and professionalism position her as a winemaker amateurs can rely on.
