Features	The wine obtained from the pinot meunier grape is of ruby red color.
Features wine	Used exclusively for white vinification, it has been shown to be very suitable for the production of sparkling wine. Vinification is usually carried out in purity, but it can also be referred to grains, between Meunier and Chardonnay, for the production of quality wines. In the first case it provides a white wine with slight yellowish nuances, very pleasing to the taste slightly fruity, acidic, discreet body, just alcoholic, slightly bitter taste and velvety taste. For perfume, acidity and body, it suits very much to the production of sparkling wines.
Growing areas	It is present almost exclusively in France, in the Champagne region. It is also cultivated in Germany, where it is called Müllerrebe or Schwarzriesling. It is also found in Austria, Switzerland, California and Austrialia. In Italy it is part of the varietal composition for sparkling Trento DOC.
History	It has its name (meunier = miller) that its grain-rich grains (a thin layer of wax which clings to some vegetable organisms and makes them waterproof) seem as if they were floured.

Tra i più comuni si ricordano quelli in uso in Francia: Pinot Meunier, Plant Meunier, Blanc Meunier, Mu-nier (Daubs), Morillon taconé (Marne), Auvergnat gris (Loiret), Gris Meunier, Blanche feuille, Pineau Meunier, Plant de Brie (Seine-et-Oise), Fari-neaux; Germania (Muller rebe, Fernaise, Muller Traube, Blachefeulle, Müllereben, Schwarzriesling, Müller Weib Fruhe blanc, Blanc Potitsch traube); Ungheria (Molanr Toke); Croazia (Rane Madra Mlinarica); Boemia (Cerny Maneujk) e persino in Inghilterra (Miller Grape e Muller's Burgundy).
