Description
What kind of wine it is
Soave Classico Vigne Alte by Zeni is a still white wine with a lively character, where Garganega and Trebbiano are blended with Chardonnay in a harmonious mix. It appears a pale straw yellow with bright greenish highlights. The bouquet is intense and delicate, characterised by notes of elderflower and hints of vine blossom. On the palate, it is elegant and notably persistent, with a typical slightly bitter aftertaste. When enjoyed young, it best expresses its natural fragrance.
Where it comes from
This white originates from the Soave Classico area, located in the eastern part of the Veronese hills. The vineyards grow on soils composed of volcanic tuff, a mineral-rich base that gives the wine savouriness and a well-defined freshness. This particular terroir allows the grapes to develop remarkable aromatic finesse. The result is an authentic Venetian sip, appreciated for its clean aromas and smooth drinkability.
How it is produced
The production process begins with a rigorous manual harvest aimed at selecting only perfectly ripe bunches. Vinification involves a brief skin maceration followed by gentle pressing of the grapes. Fermentation of the must takes place at a controlled temperature to preserve the aromatic integrity. Finally, maturation in steel helps maintain the typical lively fruitiness, offering a clean and linear flavour profile.
