Description
What kind of wine it is
Zenato Bianco di Custoza is a vegan white wine with a smooth, easy-drinking character. This Custoza is crafted from a harmonious blend of Garganega, Trebbiano, Chardonnay, Friulano, Riesling and Cortese. On the nose, it reveals a floral bouquet accompanied by green apple, pear, orange zest and meadow herbs. On the palate, it displays a soft structure and bright acidity, offering a juicy sip. The finish is clean, enriched by pleasant citrus notes and a typical hint of bitter almond.
Where it comes from
The vineyards are located in the heart of Custoza, between Lazise, Peschiera and Valeggio, along the southern shore of Lake Garda. The area benefits from a mild microclimate that ensures optimal ripening of the grapes. The roots delve into mineral-rich soils, characteristic of the local moraine landscape. These specific soil and climate conditions are reflected in a clear aromatic purity, giving the glass an elegant balance between fruit and savouriness and a pleasantly smooth taste.
How it is produced
Production involves a staggered harvest in September to carefully select the bunches of each variety. Vinification and subsequent maturation in stainless steel preserve the fragrance of the primary aromas and the precision of flavour, enhancing the pale straw yellow colour with greenish highlights. The process is managed to minimise oxidation and maintain the aromatic vibrancy. The final profile is dry, fresh and well balanced.

1960 – San Benedetto di Lugana. It’s here that the heart of Sergio Zenato started to beat. His story is made of passion and hard work; a deep connection to his land and his people; entrepreneurial ability and openness to innovation and new vinification techniques and investment in native grape varieties.
A story that stretches from the banks of Lake Garda to the hills of nearby Valpolicella where the estate’s reds are born from sunny vineyards of Corvina and Rondinella in Costalunga in Sant’Ambrogio commune. Read more
