Description
What kind of wine it is
Zenato Bardolino Chiaretto Rosé is a still rosé wine from Veneto, created from a careful blend of Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara. This interpretation of Bardolino boasts a dry, light and delicate profile, bringing liveliness to the palate. The coral pink colour, with slight violet reflections, anticipates an inviting aromatic bouquet dominated by notes of white flowers and nuances of fresh red fruit, such as raspberry and currant. The sip is smooth and clean, supported by a fine acidity that ensures excellent balance and a pleasantly juicy drinkability.
Where it comes from
The roots of this rosé lie on the south-eastern shore of Lake Garda, in a wine-growing area situated between Bardolino and Peschiera. Zenato’s vineyards are located on hills at an altitude between fifty and one hundred metres, with a favourable south and south-east exposure. The lake’s microclimate supports regular ripening, giving the wine a distinctly light character. The moraine-origin soils, characterised by a substantial stony structure and the presence of silt, enrich the blend, giving it a marked expressive linearity and a measured aromatic finesse.
How it is produced
The harvest takes place between the end of September and the beginning of October. In the winery, the destemmed grapes undergo rosé vinification, with a short maceration lasting only a few hours, essential for extracting the typical colour and delicate primary aromas. After gentle pressing, fermentation in stainless steel begins at a controlled temperature of 18°C, ideal for preserving the integrity of the fruit. The result highlights a highly precise technical profile, with a residual sugar of 4.2 grams per litre, a total acidity of 5.5 grams per litre and a pH of 3.26, values that ensure a harmonious freshness.
