Description
What type of wine it is
Silvaner Trocken by Zehnthof Luckert is a dry white wine made from Silvaner grapes grown in the Franconia region of Germany. It is a certified organic German quality wine that stands out for its pure, extremely dry and distinctly mineral style. On the palate, it is lively, agile and juicy, characterised by smoky aromas and measured notes of ripe yellow fruit. The winemaking process involves a spontaneous fermentation followed by ageing in large oak barrels, giving an elegant structure and a persistent finish to the drink.
Where it comes from
This wine originates from the Sulzfeld territories, located within the Franconia wine region. The vineyards are rooted in thin soils characterised by a strong presence of shell limestone, a fundamental geological element that gives the wine its typical and decisive mineral imprint. The plants come from historic old vines ranging from 40 to 65 years old. These specific characteristics of the terroir, combined with viticulture aimed at maintaining low yields, allow for an authentic and faithful expression of the Franconian territory.
How it is produced
The creation of this wine follows the rigorous principles of organic farming, starting with a careful selection of the grapes. In the cellar, the must undergoes fermentation with indigenous yeasts, allowing the natural and layered development of its aromatic profile. Subsequently, the wine matures in large traditional barrels made of fine Spessart oak, which enrich the flavour profile while keeping the freshness intact. The production cycle concludes with bottling in a protective atmosphere, offering a final product that is intact and without added sulphites.
