Description
What kind of wine it is
Champagne Waris Larmandier Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Cramant Le Gros Mont is a sparkling wine with an extremely refined profile. Made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes, this Blanc de Blancs pas dosé displays a bright straw yellow colour with golden highlights, enhanced by a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose, it offers fruity and floral aromas combined with delicate pastry notes. Thanks to the use of the Traditional Method, the palate is dry, creamy and well-structured, finishing with a pleasant aromatic persistence.
Where it comes from
The origin of this wine lies in the renowned Champagne region of France, specifically in the vineyards located in the communes of Cramant and Avize. The grapes are grown in the particular site of Le Gros Mont, an area classified as Grand Cru for its undeniable territorial vocation. The care of the vines is entrusted to Waris Larmandier, a family of independent winegrowers now in their sixth generation, whose commitment in the vineyard is based on strict organic and biodynamic practices.
How it is produced
The production process strictly follows the principles of the Traditional Method, with a slow refermentation that gives the sparkling wine its typical structure and complexity. As a pas dosé Champagne, no sugar is added, allowing the wine to express a dry and well-defined purity. Best served at 6-8 °C, it pairs perfectly with refined starters, fish dishes, cheeses and scallops with porcini mushrooms. It also boasts remarkable ageing potential, estimated between ten and fifteen years.
