Description
What kind of wine is it
Villa Angela Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Velenosi is a still white wine from the Marche region, made from Verdicchio grapes. This Denominazione di Origine Controllata Classico, vinified and matured in steel, displays a straw yellow colour and offers fragrant notes of apple, peach, honey and a hint of vegetal character. On the palate, it expresses marked freshness and a full body, finishing with a dry, persistent and pleasantly spicy aftertaste.
Where does it come from
The Verdicchio grapes originate from the original and oldest area of Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi, in the heart of the Marche region. The vineyards are situated at around one hundred metres above sea level, on medium-textured soils with a sandy tendency, ideal conditions for enhancing aromatic definition. The vines are trained using the spur-pruned cordon system, with a density of five thousand vines per hectare. This careful agronomic management ensures an optimal yield per plant, limited to about one and a half kilos of grapes, thus guaranteeing maximum expressive concentration.
How is it produced
The process in the winery begins with manual harvesting, followed by a period in temperature-controlled rooms. Gentle pressing is carried out on slightly overripe grapes to enrich the must. After static decantation, the liquid ferments with selected yeasts at a constant temperature. The subsequent maturation in stainless steel preserves the integrity of the grape variety, resulting in a clear and vibrant glass, supported by a well-balanced total acidity.

The heart of the company is located in the historic city of Ascoli Piceno, which is located in the region Marche at a distance of about 20 km from Adriatic Sea and at a height of 150/200 m above sea level.
The company's farms extend across the hills that surround the splendid valley of the Tronto river, which, thanks to its clayey and fertile soils, has always been suited to the cultivation of vines.
In addition to the four companies located in Ascoli Piceno, Castorano, Monsampolo del Tronto and Castel di Lama, there is a vineyard in the area of Ancarano (TE) and in the area of San Marcello (AN), between the Castelli di Jesi.
Since the beginning, the winery has achieved great success with journalistic criticism published in the most renowned national and international newspapers such as: W, Robert Parker, Red shrimp, Luca Maroni, AIS and many others.
This is why it is present throughout the national territory with the collaboration of 85 agencies and abroad where it is present in 52 nations both in Europe and in the rest of the world.
Production to date is approximately 2.500.000 bottles and the expectations certainly don't stop there. Read more
