Description

What kind of wine it is

Reve di Villa Angela Offida Pecorino is a still white wine that expresses the essence of the Marche region, made from Pecorino grapes. This Offida wine stands out for its dry and full style, characterised by an elegant structure and pronounced freshness. On the nose, it reveals a deep bouquet, where notes of white flowers and ripe fruit delicately blend with harmonious hints of vanilla. The palate is persistent, silky and opulent, offering a satisfying and well-balanced drinking experience.

Where it comes from

It originates in the hilly area of Offida, from vineyards tended by Velenosi in the municipalities of Ascoli Piceno and Castel di Lama. The vines grow at around two hundred metres above sea level, with a predominantly northern exposure. The climate, influenced by the cool sea breezes, imparts vibrant minerality and a pronounced acidic backbone. The soils are of a medium sandy texture, an ideal condition to enhance the aromatic precision of the grape variety and ensure a consistently balanced and profound flavour profile.

How it is produced

After a careful late harvest, the process begins with a light cryomaceration to preserve the aromatic profile intact. Fermentation starts in stainless steel tanks; afterwards, part of the must is transferred to French oak barrels, while the rest completes the cycle in steel. At the end of this period, the blend is assembled and left to rest for a long time on the lees. Clarification occurs naturally through decantation, concluding the process without any filtration. In the glass, it displays an intense straw-yellow colour with bright golden highlights, enriched by delicate smoky nuances on the finish.

History and Curiosities

Rêve by Villa Angela represents the sublime expression of the native Pecorino grape variety, born from the dedication of the founders of the Velenosi winery. This fine still white wine captures the essence of the Marche region, originating from the carefully tended hillside vineyards of Ascoli Piceno. Thanks to skilful ageing for 24 months, divided between stainless steel and new barriques, it offers an opulent and intoxicatingly elegant sip. The artisanal approach, completed by unfiltered bottling, preserves its intense floral aromas, offering a memorable tasting experience.
