Description

What kind of wine is it

Champagne Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Chouilly Brut Reserve is crafted using the Traditional Method. Made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes, it displays a straw yellow colour with greenish highlights and a fine perlage. On the nose, it offers notes of citrus and white pepper. On the palate, it is well-balanced: lemon, grapefruit and acacia blend into a mineral finish, marked by saline touches of chalk and iodine.

Where does it come from

This Blanc de Blancs originates from Chouilly, a Grand Cru village in Champagne. The Vazart-Coquart winery manages the vineyards with a deep commitment to sustainability. Their dedication to biodiversity is confirmed by the High Environmental Value certification, a guarantee of respect for the ecosystem that allows the grapes to express the essence of the terroir.

How is it produced

The winemaking process uses a blend of different vintages and reserve wines, with secondary fermentation in the bottle using the Traditional Method. The Brut dosage ensures a dry and refreshing sip. Served between 6 and 8°C, it naturally enhances oysters and scallops. Its elegant mineral texture pairs perfectly with starters, saffron cod and cheeses such as Brillat-Savarin.

History and Curiosities

Since 1995, the Vazart-Coquart family has passed down a passion for sustainable viticulture, crowned by the High Environmental Value certification. This elegant Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru is crafted in Chouilly under the guidance of oenologist Jean-Pierre Vazart, who blends Chardonnay grapes from various vintages with 25% of fine reserve wines. The perfect balance of this wine, awarded 92 points by Wine Spectator, offers a vibrant sip that enhances the terroir and the excellence of the traditional method.
