Description
What type of wine it is
Trebbiano d’Abruzzo by Valle Reale is a still white wine made from Trebbiano grapes, capable of expressing the most authentic essence of Abruzzo. This Trebbiano d’Abruzzo DOC stands out for its fresh and structured flavour profile, balanced by a pleasant smoothness. On the nose, it reveals elegant hints of sage, jasmine, apple and medlar, enriched by delicate citrus nuances. The entire aromatic framework is supported by a distinct mineral and briny background, providing a faithful version of the grape variety and its strong identity.
Where it comes from
The vines grow in high-altitude vineyards in Abruzzo, situated between 350 and 400 metres above sea level. This location ensures an ideal microclimate, giving the wine a vibrant gustatory tension. The terrain is characterised by stony soils with a light presence of clay. This geological composition brings a solid structure to the palate, amplifying a deep savouriness that reflects the strong link with the mountain environment enhanced by Valle Reale.
History and interesting facts
The Valle Reale estate has been combining tradition and innovation since 1999. Among the unique features of this wine from the heart of Abruzzo are the altitude of the vineyards, located between 350 and 400 metres above sea level, and the rigorous application of biodynamic farming principles.

This gives rise to original wines, a faithful imprint of terroir and cultivated varieties, exclusively traditional. Six labels presented this year, of which as many as five really distance themselves by a whisker and which sees the return of Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo Vigneto Sant’Eusanio.
The Trebbiano d’Abruzzo Vigneto di Popoli, on the other hand, lends itself and places itself on the podium, with its ample and complex bouquet and clean, warm and persistent taste. Great absentees this year Il Trebbiano d'Abruzzo Vigna del Convento di Capestrano 2016, not produced due to the violent frost suffered in April of that year, and Montepulciano d'Abruzzo San Calisto, whose grapes did not reach the phenolic maturity desired again because of frosts and that we will find again with the 2015 vintage in the next editions of the Guide.
