Description
What kind of wine it is
Valdo Origine Spumante Brut is a white sparkling wine from Veneto that best expresses the characteristics of the Glera grape variety. In the glass, it displays a bright pale straw yellow hue, enriched by delicate greenish highlights. The bouquet offers a very refined and distinctly fruity aroma, where clear notes of green apple blend harmoniously with elegant floral nuances. On the palate, it reveals a lively, persistent and harmonious sip, enhanced by a pleasant residual sweetness that perfectly balances the wine's freshness.
Where it comes from
This sparkling wine originates in the heart of the Veneto wine region, an area deeply connected to Valdobbiadene and the expertise of the Bolla family, who have been key figures in local winemaking since 1926. The vines grow in an environment characterised by predominantly flat terrain, a condition that encourages the development of grapes with pronounced freshness. The Valdo brand revives a historic recipe handed down through generations, celebrating the essence of sparkling wine. Its creation recalls the methods of a bygone era, offering an authentic interpretation of local origins.
How it is produced
Vinification begins with the creation of a careful blend of white grapes subjected to gentle pressing, followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature. The sparkling process takes place using the long Charmat Method, an ideal technique for preserving the fruit's fragrance, followed by bottle ageing which imparts further balance. Served at a temperature between 6 and 8°C, this Brut makes an excellent aperitif. At the table, it elegantly accompanies delicate dishes, enhancing fish-based dishes, shellfish and molluscs, as well as white meats and fresh cheeses.
History and Curiosities
The history of Valdo Origine is deeply rooted in the experience of the Bolla family, who have been key figures in the oenological evolution of Valdobbiadene since 1926. This iconic brut sparkling wine celebrates the authentic local tradition, evoking a time when it was not yet required to use at least 85% Glera grapes. The elegant packaging contains a historic recipe passed down through generations, expressing deep pride in the past and a genuine passion for the future developments of the long Charmat method.
