Description
What kind of wine it is
Tuzko Birtok Gruner Veltliner is a still white wine with a dry and inviting aromatic profile, made from Grüner Veltliner grapes. In the glass, it displays a bright straw yellow colour and a bouquet characterised by floral and citrus notes, enriched by the typical peppery hint of the variety. On the palate, it reveals a marked freshness and a balanced structure, offering a satisfying sip, ideal for pairing with medium-aged cheeses and fish-based dishes.
Where it comes from
This wine originates from the Hungarian estate of Tuzko Birtok, a winery founded at the end of the eighteenth century and renowned for its historic cellars carved into tuff. The vines grow in the fertile lands of Szekszárd and Tolna, specifically in the vineyards of Bátaapáti and Mőcsény, located within the Pannon region. These particular soil and climate conditions favour the optimal ripening of Grüner Veltliner, giving the wine its vibrant aromatic expression and distinctive spicy character.
How it is produced
In the winery, the selected grapes are destemmed and subjected to a gentle pressing. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at strictly controlled temperatures, below sixteen degrees, to preserve the integrity of the primary aromas. Afterwards, a careful maturation in steel lasting several months allows the wine to stabilise, maintaining its natural gustatory tension and liveliness.

The Antinori family was deeply inspired by the quality of the wines produced, the presence of existing vineyards on the land, the historical, impressive cellars excavated in tuff rock and the beauty of the landscape so, in 2000, they decided to take over management of the winery together with the Mazzei family.
