Description
What kind of wine it is
Lanùra by Tenute Perda Rubia is a still white wine that embodies the essence of Vermentino di Sardegna. Made from Vermentino grapes, it stands out for its production method based on the use of free-run must, which ensures an extremely precise and refined flavour profile. On the nose, it opens with an intense bouquet of white flowers, while on the palate it offers a fresh, dry sip with pronounced savouriness, an enveloping structure and a harmonious finish.
Where it comes from
The grapes are grown in Ogliastra, on the picturesque eastern coast of Sardinia. In this area, the vines are trained using the Guyot system on granitic soils, which impart a distinct saline and mineral character to the wine. The twenty hectares of vineyards are managed strictly according to organic principles. The region’s typical hot-arid climate promotes regular ripening of the grapes, allowing the wine to perfectly balance aromatic intensity and smoothness on the palate.
How it is produced
The production process, both organic and sustainable, begins with a manual harvest of the grapes at the optimal stage of ripeness. In the winery, the grapes undergo a very brief maceration, followed by fermentation in stainless steel to preserve the integrity of the varietal aromas. Maturation continues in the same vessels, maintaining the wine’s natural freshness, and concludes with a measured final ageing. The straw yellow colour with greenish highlights anticipates a clean and balanced finish.
History and Curiosities
Lanùra is born from the passion and tradition of Tenute Perda Rubia, a historic winery in Ogliastra. The estate covers twenty hectares of vineyards along the eastern coast of Sardinia, with 15-year-old vines grown on granite-based soils.
