Description
What kind of wine it is
Tenute Orestiadi Pizzicanti Bianco Frizzante is an organic Terre Siciliane wine, created from a harmonious blend of Catarratto Bianco Comune and Grillo. It presents a golden hue, which anticipates a Mediterranean aromatic profile rich in floral fragrances and hints of tropical fruit. On the palate, it immediately reveals a lively and zesty sip, staying true to the dialectal expression from which it takes its name. Its pleasant freshness and balanced taste make it ideal for accompanying an elegant aperitif or enhancing light dishes based on fish and fresh cheeses.
Where it comes from
This Terre Siciliane originates in the heart of the Belìce Valley, in Gibellina. Tenute Orestiadi cultivates its vineyards at an altitude between two hundred and fifty and three hundred metres, in a climate ideal for the proper expression of primary aromas. The vines sink their roots into dark, compact soils, characterised by a high silt-clay content that ensures excellent resistance to drought. This specific geological formation encourages a regular ripening of the grapes, giving the wine vibrant energy and conveying, in every sip, the authentic Sicilian territorial essence.
How it is produced
The vinification process aims to preserve the olfactory integrity of the grapes. The refermentation takes place in a pressurised tank following the Charmat method for about two months, the time needed to obtain a fine and well-integrated perlage. This is followed by a targeted maturation on the lees for a further two months, a key technical choice to give the wine greater roundness and cleanliness on the palate. The care taken in the winery enhances the natural expression of the grape varieties, offering a light and refreshing drink, distinguished by immediate charm and highly pleasant, fragrant aromas.
