Description
What kind of wine it is
The Premium Rosé from Tenuta Ulisse is a still rosé wine with a pale pink colour, created from a careful blend of Merlot grapes and other black grape varieties. On the nose, it offers a striking bouquet with distinct Mediterranean notes and fresh fruit aromas. On the palate, it opens with lively fruity notes and enticing citrus sensations. The delicate structure, enriched by mineral nuances, leads to a long and rich finish. Ideal for enhancing convivial moments, it pairs perfectly with starters, shellfish, white meats and cheeses, offering the fullest sensory expression when served well chilled.
Where it comes from
This wine is produced in Abruzzo, within the Terre di Chieti production area. The grapes originate from Crecchio, a region characterised by extremely favourable conditions for viticulture. Tenuta Ulisse, led by oenologist Antonio Ulisse, cultivates its vineyards here, combining the study of international varieties with a careful appreciation of local expressions. The result is a process that faithfully reflects the minerality of the terroir and a clear, authentic expression of the fruit, offering a true representation of this specific wine-growing area.
How it is produced
The winemaking process begins with a careful selection of the grapes, which are placed directly into a cooling tunnel. The rapid drop in temperature encourages skin cryomaceration, a crucial step for the optimal extraction of aromatic compounds. Destemming and subsequent crushing take place in an inert environment to protect the must, followed by slow fermentation in tanks at a controlled temperature of 11°C. The wine then rests for three months in stainless steel and completes its journey with a balanced maturation in the bottle, thus preserving a clear and fragrant profile.
History and Curiosities
Born in the heart of Abruzzo, this magnificent rosé reflects the innovative approach of winemaker Antonio Ulisse. The Crecchio winery, founded in 2006, enhances the quality of the grapes through skilful skin cryomaceration carried out in an exclusive cooling tunnel, which allows for the extraction and preservation of intense fruity aromas. Fermented at 11°C and matured for three months in stainless steel, Tenuta Ulisse Rosé Premium 2025 offers an unforgettable tasting experience, bolstered by the excellent score of 98/100 awarded by Luca Maroni.
