Description
What kind of wine it is
This still white wine by Tenuta Ulisse is a true expression of the Abruzzo region. In the glass, it reveals a bright straw yellow colour, enhanced by subtle greenish highlights. On the palate, a savoury and vibrant texture emerges, supported by a pleasant freshness that carries the sip towards an extraordinary persistence. A harmonious wine, ideal for enhancing dishes based on lean fish, shellfish, and creamy cheeses.
Where it comes from
Produced in the heart of Abruzzo, this wine encapsulates the essence of a region highly suited to viticulture. The winery works with great care to deliver the purity of local aromas in the glass. The aromatic bouquet opens with distinct citrus and exotic fruit notes, enriched by delicate floral hints and touches of sage. As it evolves in the glass, elegant mineral nuances are revealed, harmoniously blending with subtle hints of wood, outlining an intense and highly refined aromatic profile.
How it is produced
The winemaking process involves the use of a tunnel for rapid cooling of the whole grapes, followed by a cold maceration of the skins. After destemming and gentle pressing in an inert environment, fermentation takes place in stainless steel. The wine matures on fine lees with frequent bâtonnage to enhance the palate structure. Finally, part of the batch is aged for twelve months in fine French oak barrels, a step that imparts smoothness and remarkable structural complexity to the sip.
History and Curiosities
This limited edition white celebrates ten harvests of Tenuta Ulisse's unwavering dedication to the Abruzzo region.
