Description

What kind of wine it is

Pareto by Tenuta di Nozzole is a Tuscan red wine of great character, a pure expression of the Cabernet Sauvignon grape variety. In the glass, it displays an intense, deep ruby colour, opening with an elegant bouquet characterised by notes of vanilla and fragrant wild berries. On the palate, it is dry and persistent, supported by soft, well-integrated tannins. Its remarkable flavour structure promises harmonious development and longevity of up to fifteen years, making it perfect for pairing with red meats, roasts, game and mature cheeses, preferably after decanting for an hour.

Where it comes from

This red is produced in Greve in Chianti, at the heart of the prestigious Chianti Classico region. The grapes grow in the vineyards of Tenuta di Nozzole, a historic estate dating back to the 1300s and now run by the Folonari family. The rows of vines are situated at 350 metres above sea level, an ideal geographical condition to ensure a defined aromatic expression and a balanced texture. The meticulous agronomic management is based on targeted planting density and a deliberately limited average yield, aimed at preserving the absolute quality of the raw material in every bunch.

How it is produced

The grapes are harvested during the second half of October. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, accompanied by about fifteen days of maceration on the skins, an essential step to achieve optimal colour extraction. A subsequent malolactic fermentation at a controlled temperature stabilises and softens the sensory components. Ageing continues for between sixteen and eighteen months in French oak barrels, culminating in a crucial six-month rest in the bottle, which gives the wine its definitive structural elegance.

History and Curiosities

Produced in the heart of Greve in Chianti on a historic estate dating back to the 1300s, Tenuta di Nozzole Il Pareto 2020 fully expresses the Folonari family's dedication to excellence. This elegant pure Cabernet Sauvignon, masterfully crafted by oenologist Marco Cervellera, blends tradition with meticulous attention to detail. Thanks to prolonged ageing in fine French oak, the wine acquires an enveloping softness and extraordinary longevity. Awarded 95 points by James Suckling, it represents an authentic oenological masterpiece capable of gracing any table.
