Description
What kind of wine it is
The Pinot Noir by Serafini e Vidotto is a still red wine with Indicazione Geografica Tipica from Veneto, matured in wood. In the glass, it appears a bright ruby red, offering the nose fruity and floral notes of raspberries, blueberries, wild strawberries, violet, cyclamen, aromatic herbs and sweet tobacco. On the palate, it is soft and enveloping, with sweet tannins and a persistent finish reminiscent of wild berry jam, blackcurrant and vanilla.
Where it comes from
This red is born in Nervesa della Battaglia, on the renowned hills of Montello, in Veneto. The vines sink their roots into the characteristic ferretto soils, a peculiar earthy composition that gives the wine a clear aromatic precision and a measured flavour profile. The Pinot Noir vines are cultivated using the Guyot training system, an essential agronomic choice to ensure the correct vegetative-productive balance. The notable planting density encourages even ripening, resulting in a distinct territorial identity.
How it is produced
The harvest takes place between the end of August and the beginning of September, a crucial timing to preserve the natural freshness and fragrance of the grapes. In the cellar, vinification is carried out with precision to enhance the primary nuances of the grape variety. The maturation process involves an initial period in wooden barrels, followed by a key three-month refinement in the bottle. This resting period allows the complex flavour profile to harmonise. The production process ensures a structured result that enhances the spicy notes and delicate varietal aromas.
History and Curiosities
Founded in Nervesa della Battaglia in 1986, the family-run winery Serafini e Vidotto cultivates its vineyards on Montello, an area renowned for Pinot Noir since the early 1990s. Thanks to the Guyot training system on the characteristic ferretto soils, winemaker Matteo Serafini creates a wine with a strong territorial identity. Released on the market at least three years after the harvest, this red wine, noted for its pronounced aromatic finesse, has become a true symbol for the company, appreciated abroad and consistently awarded by prestigious guides such as Doctor Wine.

A future laid down by the beginnings, guaranteed by the presence of a new generation. Starting with Matteo Serafini, who grew up here, among the vineyards and the cellar and trained as oenologist with experiences abroad and in the schools of Conegliano and San Michele all’Adige. In short, ideal conditions to say that we are on solid ground, while our wines are in excellent oak barrels.
Seeing that we are called Serafini & Vidotto, one might say that we have always been a group. Today that group has grown (in more ways than one), with a natural balance and understanding. Starting with Massimo and Kati, followed by the others. Those who have joined our family have found their place and, thanks to the place and to the atmosphere that has been created, no-one has left over the years. A sign that we share the same passion and tenacity. Because, although it is wonderful to live among nature, to enjoy a marvellous view day after day, the true value of our wine lies in the work of people.
Everyone produces quality. We are also committed to living with it. We have always believed that the project was about our lives. First and foremost, we had to do what we liked doing, without compromise. This is the same idea that we can find today in every Serafini & Vidotto wine. The ambition to satisfy our idea of quality. For ourselves, for the product, for all those who can rejoice in the results of our constant care. Read more
