Description
What kind of wine it is
Santa Margherita Trevenezie Rosé is a still rosé wine that embodies the winemaking expression of North-Eastern Italy. Created from a careful blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc, it appears a pale pink in the glass. Its profile is marked by lively freshness and a light texture. On the palate, it is smooth, supported by well-balanced acidity that leads the sip towards a long-lasting finish, offering an extremely clean aftertaste.
Where it comes from
This rosé reflects the unique characteristics of the Tre Venezie, an area renowned for its strong winemaking tradition. The wine's origins are rooted in the Veneto region and the vision that gave rise to Santa Margherita in 1935. The wine is crafted in an immediate style, designed to offer excellent drinkability. The bouquet opens with a fragrant aroma dominated by red fruits and a delicate floral note, maintaining strict technical precision and expressive clarity.
How it is produced
The production process begins in early September with the harvest of Pinot Noir, followed by the picking of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Vinification is meticulous, aimed at preserving aromatic integrity. Maturation takes place in spring, enhanced by a crucial period of at least six months resting on the lees. This technique gives the wine structure and smoothness, making it ideal to pair with seafood dishes, soft cheeses or delicately spiced recipes.
History and Curiosities
The Santa Margherita Trevenezie Rosé embodies the vision of Count Gaetano Marzotto, who founded the historic winery in 1935. Signed by oenologist Loris Vazzoler, the 2024 vintage is born from a meticulous vinification process that begins in September with the harvest of Pinot Noir, followed by those of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Careful ageing and resting on the lees for at least six months enhance this elegant IGT with its pale pink colour, bestowing a sophisticated softness that celebrates the oenological prestige of North-Eastern Italy.

Santa Margherita was born in 1935 from the vision of Count Gaetano Marzotto, who believed in a modern and efficient agriculture based on the harmonious cooperation of people, nature and technology.
87 years have passed since that visionary beginning, but the core values are unchanged and have allowed this dream to grow into one of Italy's most important wine realities, capable of keeping up with the times and interpreting changes in lifestyles and consumption thanks to its widespread presence in more than 90 countries on 5 continents.
One of the pioneers in the sparkling of the Glera grape variety on the hills of Valdobbiadene since 1952, Santa Margherita has helped transform a territorial sparkling wine into a global success.
The company is also credited with the birth of Pinot Grigio as the world knows it today: a wine that has conquered the palates of several generations of winelovers thanks to its contemporary style and extraordinary ability to be paired with different foods and situations, and that 60 years ago triggered a true revolution in taste and oenological pleasure.
In addition to innovation, sustainability is a founding value for Santa Margherita, which has always been convinced that everything that comes from a healthy environment, conducted with wise measure in respect of life cycles, carries a unique value.
We are proud to share the results achieved by Santa Margherita at the end of the tastings conducted as part of the Falstaff Trophy Prosecco 2025:
