Description
What kind of wine it is
Fattoria Le Maestrelle is a still red wine with a harmonious and enveloping profile. It is created from a blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and Syrah, presenting a bright ruby red colour enriched with subtle violet highlights. The bouquet offers intense aromas of cherry, redcurrant and violet, interwoven with pleasant hints of vanilla, chocolate, mint, juniper and coffee. On the palate, it delivers a dry taste and a balanced body, supported by velvety tannins and a delightful freshness. The tasting experience concludes with a savoury and persistent finish, leaving a complex aftertaste consistent with the olfactory notes.
Where it comes from
This red wine is born in the renowned vineyards of Tuscany, an area whose extraordinary vocation defines the character of its production. Produced by Santa Cristina, the wine represents a balanced meeting between historic varieties and international grapes. The local soils provide ideal conditions for the development of a deep organoleptic profile, while careful attention at every stage of production enhances the quality of the raw material. The connection with Tuscany is essential in shaping the identity of this wine, ensuring an authentic and faithful expression of its region of origin.
How it is produced
The grapes are harvested at different times to vinify each variety separately, thus preserving their aromatic integrity. Temperature-controlled fermentation is accompanied by targeted pumping over to ensure a delicate extraction of the noble components. Subsequently, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation to soften the structure and increase its complexity. The process continues with partial maturation in barrels for about 15 months, a fundamental choice to integrate the aromas, give depth to the flavour and provide greater roundness to the sip.
