Description
What kind of wine it is
The Valdobbiadene Superiore di Cartizze Dry by Ruggeri is a sparkling wine from Veneto with a fresh and elegant profile. Made from Glera grapes and other white varieties, it displays a straw yellow colour and a fine, continuous perlage. Aromas of ripe fruit and wisteria flowers precede a caressing sip, with a harmonious structure and long aromatic persistence, leading to a full and fruity finish. Ideal when served chilled at the end of a meal, it pairs perfectly with traditional desserts, panettone and dry pastries, and also enhances selected cheeses and dishes with liver pâté.
Where it comes from
This sparkling wine is produced in Veneto, in the renowned Cartizze subzone, the most prized hilly area of the region. The slopes and microclimate of the Valdobbiadene hills define the precise territorial identity of this wine expression. It is crafted by Ruggeri, a historic winery founded in 1950 with family roots dating back to the nineteenth century. Under the guidance of oenologist Fabio Roversi, the company is dedicated to organic and sustainable production, able to enhance the natural characteristics of the terroir in every glass, fully respecting local typicity.
How it is produced
Production begins in September with the harvest and a white vinification at controlled temperature. The secondary fermentation takes place using the Charmat Method, with a slow refermentation in autoclave. This precise thermal management is essential to preserve aromatic purity. Technical care in the cellar ensures the development of a fine and stable mousse, guaranteeing a clear, precise drink consistent with the harmonious structure typical of the Dry style, while also respecting organic farming practices.

Ruggeri’s roots stretch far back to the nineteenth century, to Eliseo Bisol, who, along with his son Luigi was one of the first winemakers in Valdobbiadene. The business’s significant growth began in 1950 when Giustino Bisol founded the current winery with his cousin, and it was his surname, Ruggeri, that was chosen as the company name. The unswerving commitment to excellence continued with the work of Giustino’s son, Paolo, and granddaughter Isabella.
Since 2017, Ruggeri has been part of the Rotkäppchen-Mumm Group, a highly fruitful partnership which has paired our shared visions, trust in common values and a mutual commitment to ever higher quality standards. Read more
