Description
What kind of wine it is
Renato Keber offers a still white wine of great charm, made from Pinot Bianco grapes grown in Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Produced in the Collio area, this wine stands out for its smooth and full-bodied profile, capable of delivering an enveloping fruity persistence on the palate. The bouquet is broad and structured, characterised by elegant notes of vanilla and apricot intertwined with hints of Renetta apple and ripe fruit.
Where it comes from
The grapes come from the historic Zegla vineyard, located in the heart of Collio, in Friuli-Venezia Giulia. In this unique terroir, the Pinot Bianco grape variety finds an ideal environment to fully express its characteristics. This deep harmony with the land gives rise to a velvety wine with a remarkable aptitude for ageing. Its evolution over time enriches its aromatic profile, making the aromas even more intense and complex.
How it is produced
The production process begins with a strictly manual harvest. The bunches undergo gentle destemming and a light skin maceration, followed by soft pressing and cold settling. After fermentation at a controlled temperature, the wine is aged on the lees for twelve months. This prolonged resting ensures greater structural fullness, giving the sip a warm, rounded and exquisitely persistent texture.
History and Curiosities
This noble Collio Pinot Bianco Riserva originates from the renowned Zegla vineyard, expressing the most authentic soul of the Friulian terroir. Renato Keber carefully hand-selects the grapes to create a velvety wine with remarkable longevity. Thanks to a patient 12-month maturation on the lees, its structure becomes extraordinarily warm and full-bodied. With bottle ageing, this still white reveals intense Renetta apple aromas, apricot, and delicate hints of vanilla, offering the palate a soft, fruity sip with memorable persistence.

The gently curving hillside called Zegla, close by the border with Slovenia, has long been home to Renato Keber and his family. Renato’s great grandfather, Franc, came from nearby Vipulzano to settle here in 1900, when this was still under Austrian rule.
Since then and for four generations, the Keber family has lived and produced its wine in Zegla, and even today, the older generations join the new ones in working in the vineyards. Read more
