Description
What kind of wine it is
Friulano S by Primosic is a still white wine made from Friulano grapes, also known as Sauvignon Vert. It stands out as a skin-macerated wine, acquiring the distinctive character of an orange wine. In the glass, it displays an intense golden yellow colour, while on the nose it reveals a refined bouquet with notes of wildflowers and spices. On the palate, it is dry and mineral, with the typical bitter almond finish. This method gives it an intriguing structure, ideal for fish dishes with sauces, flavourful white meats and mature cheeses.
Where it comes from
This wine originates from the landscapes of Collio, specifically in the Collio Goriziano area, in Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Primosic enhances the terroir by seeking harmony between the grape variety and the Gorizian soil. In this setting, Friulano grapes are able to best express their mineral identity, capturing the authentic essence of the territory in a clear and defined way.
How it is produced
The winemaking process involves a two-week maceration in contact with the skins, a technique that extracts flavour complexity and gives a pronounced structure. Thanks to this process, the wine acquires excellent ageing potential, capable of maturing for five to ten years. To fully appreciate its nuances, it is recommended to decant the wine for about an hour and serve it at a temperature of 12-14 °C.
