Description
What kind of wine it is
The Traminer Aromatico by Pojer e Sandri is a still white wine that enhances the namesake Traminer Aromatico grape within the Trentino denomination. With a yellow colour and brilliant golden hues, it presents an aromatic profile with clear notes of rose, apple, banana, peach and apricot, complemented by subtle hints of cinnamon and cloves. On the palate, it is enveloping and pleasantly full. This richness is well balanced by a crisp savouriness that makes each sip deep, harmonious and extremely well balanced in every aspect.
Where it comes from
The vineyards stretch between the areas of Coveli in Faedo and Valbona in Cembra, offering distinct and complementary pedoclimatic conditions. In Coveli, the rows are set on silty-limestone soil that encourages the utmost expressive precision of the variety. The soils of Valbona, located at a higher altitude, bear witness to the millennia-old action of glaciers and the Scorzai stream. Here, volcanic porphyritic rock prevails, resulting in dark sandy soils rich in pebbles. This geological diversity enhances the character of the grape, imparting the wine with a deep and well-defined mineral structure.
How it is produced
To protect the integrity of the fruit, the winery carries out a rigorous white vinification. The bunches undergo careful washing and pressing in a controlled atmosphere, a technique designed to avoid the use of external antioxidants. The must then undergoes low-temperature fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The maturation phase lasts for about six months in the same containers, under nitrogen to prevent oxidation and preserve every aromatic nuance. This meticulous management results in a clear and fragrant wine, perfectly suited to accompany spicy dishes or delicate seafood dishes based on shellfish.
History and Curiosities
Founded in 1972, the Pojer e Sandri winery cultivates grapes in Faedo and Valbona, on land shaped by ancient glaciers with volcanic and limestone rocks. To preserve the Alsatian-origin clones, the company washes the grape bunches and uses pressing in a controlled atmosphere. Without the use of exogenous antioxidants and with ageing under nitrogen, the wine retains its aroma intact.

Faedo 1998: We are already starting to show our thirst for innovation: we are among the first at a national level to market Chardonnay, which until then was practically unknown.
Faedo 2002: We patent the reduction and press vinification with nitrogen recovery, which drastically reduces the use of sulphites. We then begin to wash the grapes through the grape jacuzzi.
The arrival of Marianna, Matteo, Fiamma, Elisa and Federico has brought further life and energy to this dream in which passion and innovation are the keystone.
Faedo 2013: The Zero Infinito project is born: Zero chemical treatments in the countryside, Zero sulphur dioxide, Zero commercial yeasts, Zero clarifying agents, Zero filtrations, Zero antioxidants. Read more
