Description

What kind of wine it is

Perrier-Jouët Blanc de Blancs is a Brut Champagne that enhances the elegance of Chardonnay. In the glass, it displays a bright pale gold colour with greenish highlights, crossed by a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose, it offers refined aromas of white flowers, such as elderflower and acacia, accompanied by fresh citrus notes and hints of bread crust. The palate reveals a fresh and balanced profile, capable of balancing lively savouriness with a pleasant creaminess. The enveloping finish makes it ideal as an aperitif or paired with shellfish and a sea bass carpaccio.

Where it comes from

This wine is produced in France, in the Champagne region, from vineyards cultivated in the renowned terroirs of the Côte des Blancs, including the prestigious villages of Avize and Cramant. Maison Perrier-Jouët carefully selects the bunches to enhance their pronounced chalky minerality. The geographical origin gives the glass extraordinary olfactory clarity and vibrant gustatory tension. Careful agronomic management ensures a saline and luminous sip, faithfully reflecting the characteristics of the terroir of origin.

How it is produced

Made according to the Traditional Method, this wine undergoes its secondary fermentation in the bottle. Produced exclusively from Chardonnay, it rests on the lees for three years, acquiring remarkable aromatic complexity. The measured Brut dosage perfectly balances the fruit's energy with a delicate softness on the palate. This prolonged maturation on the lees ensures the development of a fine perlage, an enveloping texture and elegant persistence on the palate.

History and Curiosities

Founded in Épernay in 1811, the prestigious Perrier-Jouët house celebrates elegance with this excellent Blanc de Blancs, a vibrant tribute to 100% Chardonnay, the signature grape variety of the house. Created by cellar master Hervé Deschamps, this luminous non-vintage Champagne is aged on the lees for three years, developing a freshness acclaimed by international critics. The commitment to nature is reflected in the limited editions created by artist Fernando Laposse, a fascinating tribute to pollination and biodiversity.
