Description

What kind of wine it is

The sparkling wine Pedrotti Trento Rosé Brut is made using the Traditional Method from a skilful blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. In the glass, it displays a delicate pink colour and a fine, persistent perlage. On the nose, it offers a delicate bouquet of small red fruits, while on the palate it is velvety and rounded, with freshness balanced by notes of cherry and raspberry, perfect for enhancing aromatic cheeses and shellfish.

Where it comes from

This rosé sparkling wine originates in Trentino-Alto Adige, in the area of Nomi, and fully expresses the identity of the Trento denomination. Pedrotti cultivates the vineyards to faithfully reflect the characteristics of the mountain terroir. The enhancement of these grapes ensures an essential style and clear aromatic precision, while the local climate gives the wine the structure needed to maintain perfect balance over time.

How it is produced

Production, which strictly follows the Traditional Method, begins with vinification designed to extract the colour of Pinot Noir and the elegance that distinguishes Chardonnay. The prise de mousse in the bottle initiates the long ageing on the lees, which lasts for at least twenty-four months. This slow maturation allows the development of an enveloping and well-defined flavour profile. The result is a Brut dosage with inviting and measured acidity, ideal for accompanying starters and flavourful fish dishes.

History and Curiosities

Since 1901, the historic Pedrotti Spumanti winery has embodied the spirit of the Trentino region through the traditional method. This elegant Trento DOC Rosé Brut Millesimato 2019 is produced in Nomi from a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, grapes expertly cultivated on two hectares of vineyard by oenologist Paolo Pedrotti. The meticulous ageing in the bottle for at least 24 months creates a fine and persistent perlage, enhancing the delicate notes of red fruits. An authentic artisanal excellence, family-run, perfect for fully appreciating the noble Italian sparkling wine tradition.

A historic brand of Trentino oenology. In 1928 the company passed to his son Italo, who, driven by a great passion for expressing the potential of the Trentino territory, continued the tradition by pursuing a constant search for quality in wine production.

The same quest for quality and improvement is handed down to the third generation with his son Paolo, who, after completing his studies in oenology, devotes himself completely to wine production first and then to sparkling wine production.

Today it is two sisters, Donatella and Chiara, who follow with passion and determination the evolution of the family business focused on the production of Classic Method Trentodoc sparkling wines as the best expression of the terroir highly suited to sparkling wine production.
