Description

What kind of wine it is

Pedrotti Trento Nature is a Traditional Method sparkling wine that expresses the pure essence of Chardonnay. In the glass, it reveals a brilliant straw yellow colour with greenish highlights, crossed by a very fine and continuous perlage. On the nose, it offers a fresh bouquet, marked by distinct floral and fruity notes. On the palate, it confirms its Pas Dosé nature with a dry and decisive sip, supported by a pleasant acidic streak and a clear savouriness, finishing in a balanced and persistent manner.

Where it comes from

This wine is produced in Nomi, in Trentino Alto Adige, a mountainous area highly suited to the cultivation of Chardonnay. The Trento designation identifies a territory where altitude and temperature variations favour elegant aromas and pronounced freshness. Pedrotti, a historic winery founded in 1901, interprets the character of these valleys with great precision. The strong connection with the land translates into a distinct minerality, capable of reflecting the pure soul of the Trentino peaks in every sip.

How it is produced

Production follows the principles of the Traditional Method, with a slow prise de mousse and ageing on the lees for 30-32 months. This prolonged period enriches the structure and gives depth to the flavour profile. The total absence of sugar dosage enhances the verticality and clarity of the sip, ensuring excellent longevity. At the table, its vibrant acidity perfectly balances seafood fritters and soft cheeses, while the dry finish enhances fish starters, sushi and vegetarian dishes.

History and Curiosities

The essence of the Trentino-Alto Adige mountains is expressed in this elegant Trento DOC. Produced by the historic Pedrotti Spumanti winery, founded in Nomi in 1901, this wine celebrates pure Chardonnay. Crafted using the Traditional Method, it undergoes a patient maturation on the lees for 30-32 months. The choice of zero dosage defines its unmistakable Pas Dosé style, which enhances a clear minerality and ensures perfect evolution in the cellar for the next ten years.

A historic brand of Trentino oenology. In 1928 the company passed to his son Italo, who, driven by a great passion for expressing the potential of the Trentino territory, continued the tradition by pursuing a constant search for quality in wine production.

The same quest for quality and improvement is handed down to the third generation with his son Paolo, who, after completing his studies in oenology, devotes himself completely to wine production first and then to sparkling wine production.

Today it is two sisters, Donatella and Chiara, who follow with passion and determination the evolution of the family business focused on the production of Classic Method Trentodoc sparkling wines as the best expression of the terroir highly suited to sparkling wine production.
