Description

What kind of wine it is

Desire Lush & Zin Primitivo, produced by Pasqua, is a still red wine with Indicazione Geografica Tipica from Puglia that precisely interprets the character of the Primitivo grape, aged in wooden barrels. On the nose, it reveals a deep intertwining of plum and red fruits, enriched by elegant nuances of liquorice, vanilla, coffee and dark chocolate. On the palate, it develops with a smooth and rounded texture, supported by velvety tannins that provide a full-bodied and juicy profile. This complex harmony of flavours finishes with a long and spicy aftertaste, confirming an overall great balance.

Where it comes from

This wine originates in southern Italy and is a clear expression of the Mediterranean climate that characterises Puglia. The connection with the land ensures a warm and sunny environment, an essential factor for achieving full ripening of the grapes. The region's natural conditions define the profile of Primitivo, encouraging the concentration of aromas and giving the structure a distinct aromatic persistence, a true reflection of the original soils.

How it is produced

The winemaking process begins with a manual harvest, followed by destemming and crushing. The must undergoes a week-long cold maceration to best extract the primary aromas. Fermentation at a controlled temperature lasts about fifteen to twenty days, with constant pumping over to enrich the colour. After malolactic fermentation, the wine rests for six months in wooden barrels, a crucial ageing process to enhance the enveloping structure of the grape variety.

History and Curiosities

Desire Lush & Zin Primitivo embodies the passion and energy of the Pasqua family, who have been continuing the winemaking tradition of Verona since 1925. This wine combines the warmth of the Apulian region with the historical expertise of the Pasqua winemakers.
