Description

What kind of wine it is

Paladin Raboso Fiore Spumante Dry is a red sparkling wine from Veneto that showcases the Raboso Piave grape variety. It appears an intense ruby red with violet highlights, enhanced by a fine perlage that creates an enveloping mousse. The aromatic bouquet is dominated by fragrant notes of cherry and hints of wild violet. On the palate, the sip is lively, savoury and pleasantly smooth, supported by excellent structure. The richness of the fruit is complemented by delicate tannins and a clean, persistent finish.

Where it comes from

The grapes are grown in the heart of Veneto, in the Lison-Pramaggiore area, between the towns of Motta di Livenza and Annone Veneto. The medium-textured soils, rich in coarse material, favour the structure and typical character of Raboso Piave. The care of the vineyards by Paladin expresses the authentic vocation of this territory, where the winery is passionately dedicated to enhancing local varieties to bring out their unique qualities at every stage of ripening.

How it is produced

Production begins with a harvest carried out in mid-December, selecting bunches that have reached the ideal aromatic profile. After the first fermentation, the sparkling process takes place in a pressurised tank following the Charmat Method. This process allows for elegant bubbles and preserves the primary fragrance of the fruit. The resulting wine sees the fruity component and a slight sweetness blend with a vibrant, savoury freshness, offering a lively and well-structured tasting experience.

History and Curiosities

Born in Veneto from the longstanding dedication of the Paladin family, active since 1962, this VSQ sparkling wine celebrates the deep winemaking tradition of Lison-Pramaggiore. The excellent interpretation of the native Raboso Piave grapes, harvested in mid-December of the 2011 vintage, comes to life through the Charmat method crafted by expert oenologist Antonio Lucarelli. A refined production of 10,000 bottles, awarded the prestigious 4 Bibenda bunches, which enhances the historic nature of the grape variety with a modern and elegant sparkling process in autoclave.

Paladin Vigne e Vini is the first winery of the whole Casa Paladin group, it’s a family owned estate founded by our father in 1962, in Motta di Livenza, near Treviso. It’s located at the boundaries of the Venetian land where we moved in the mid-70s, in Annone Veneto, a historic village located in the Roman Postumia road. The passion and love for vine and wine comes from our father, Valentino, who used to follow his grandfather, since he was a child, in the vineyards and in the cellar.

Passion, research, dedication and respect for traditions are the main values that have been guiding his philosophy since he created his own cellar. He was strongly determined to enhance the territorial typicalness of our Lison-Pramaggiore area, by producing excellent wines.
