Description
What kind of wine it is
Ottaviano Lambruschi presents the Colli di Luni Vermentino Il Casale, a Ligurian white wine that purely expresses the Vermentino grape variety. Characterised by a straw yellow colour with greenish highlights, it reveals a delicate bouquet of white flowers on the nose. On the palate, it is dry, with a distinctive saline and mineral note that imparts savouriness and great freshness. It is the ideal companion for an aperitif or to accompany dishes based on lean fish and light starters.
Where it comes from
This wine is born in the heart of the Colli di Luni denomination. The grapes come from low hillside vineyards with vines about ten years old, trained using the Guyot method. The area's clay soils are crucial in giving the wine a dry structure and a pronounced savouriness. The interaction between the soil composition and the local climate results in a clean and balanced sip, capable of conveying the authentic identity of the territory.
How it is produced
Production begins in mid-September with the harvest of the Vermentino. In the winery, vinification is aimed at preserving the freshness and natural aromas of the fruit, resulting in a wine with a dry and savoury profile. The care taken at every stage of processing ensures the clarity and organoleptic qualities of the wine remain intact, guaranteeing a harmonious and vibrant final product.

Supported by the invaluable enthusiasm of his brother Alessandro and endowed with remarkable professional skills, Ottaviano gradually succeeded in creating his first vineyard and producing his first wine — a bottling that already stood out as a symbol of excellence in the sector.
During the 1980s, Fabio, the founder’s son, earned a diploma in agricultural technology, giving him the opportunity to combine his innate passion with the most efficient production techniques. This allowed him to develop a modern and innovative winery that nevertheless preserved tradition, a precious heritage of the estate itself.
Over the years, the thriving Lambruschi enterprise expanded its holdings through the acquisition of vineyards located in the most prestigious areas of Ligurian viticulture. Meticulous care at every stage, both in the vineyard and in the cellar, together with rigorous grape selection, lends refinement and classic style to wines of the highest quality. Read more
