Description
What kind of wine is it
Kupra is a still red wine from the Marche region, masterfully crafted by Oasi degli Angeli through the vinification of Alicante. In the glass, it displays a deep, impenetrable ruby red hue, heralding an intense and layered aromatic profile. On the nose, clear notes of black cherry and plum emerge, enriched by hints of Mediterranean herbs, graphite, and sweet spices. The palate reveals a dense and powerful structure, characterised by remarkable concentration and silky tannins that envelop the mouth. The finish is long and pleasantly warm, defining a complex and satisfying sensory profile.
Where does it come from
The origins of this red wine are rooted in Cupra Marittima, home to the Oasi degli Angeli winery. The history of the estate spans three generations, beginning with Eleonora's great-grandfather's commitment to a small agricultural enterprise. Since 1997, Eleonora and oenologist Marco Casolanetti have chosen to dedicate the land exclusively to viticulture, transforming the property into a benchmark for Marche winemaking. The estate covers sixteen hectares, cultivated with the utmost care, allowing for a limited production of seven thousand five hundred bottles, an authentic and concentrated expression of the terroir of origin and meticulous agricultural work.
How is it produced
The processing of Alicante is aimed at maximising extraction and defining the wine's impressive structure, under the careful guidance of Marco Casolanetti. This precise approach ensures remarkable longevity, allowing the wine to evolve positively in the bottle for between fifteen and twenty-five years. At the table, its substantial presence enhances robust dishes, making it ideal for pairing with roast red meats, rich game-based preparations, flavourful first courses, and mature cheeses. To fully appreciate its integrity and richness, it is recommended to decant for one hour and serve at a tasting temperature between sixteen and eighteen degrees.
