Description

What kind of wine it is

Nicolas Rossignol Bourgogne Pinot Noir is a still red wine that expresses the typical qualities of Pinot Noir grown in Burgundy. It displays a clear ruby red colour, introducing a profile characterised by intense aromas of red fruits. On the palate, it is fresh and harmonious, offering a pleasant smoothness combined with a solid structure. The sip develops with great precision, finishing with a persistent and balanced aftertaste.

Where it comes from

This red originates from the Burgundy region, the result of the meticulous work of Nicolas Rossignol. The winemaker founded his estate in 1997, gradually expanding it to the current seventeen hectares of vineyards. The winemaking operations are carried out in the modern cellar in Beaune, designed to strictly respect the identity of the terroir. The winery's approach aims to offer a pure interpretation of Pinot Noir, faithfully reflecting the typicality of this region.

History and Curiosities

The Bourgogne Pinot Noir by Nicolas Rossignol represents a refined tribute to French elegance. After gaining solid experience between France and South Africa, the winemaker founded his own estate in 1997, which today covers seventeen hectares of vineyards. All stages of vinification take place in the modern cellar in Beaune, designed to enhance every nuance of the terroir.

Born in 1974, Nicolas started to make wine in his family at the Rossignol-Jeanniard family in his early twenties, but his training took the form of multiple experiences first in other Domaine de Bourgogne and then in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Bordeaux and South Africa.

In 1997 he created his Domaine with only 3 hectares, which after the merger in 2011 between D.ne Nicolas Rossignol and the family Rossignol-Jeanniard become 17 and on which Nicolas vinifies about 30 different appellations.

In 2016 the construction of the new winery in Beaune began, which will allow the talented "vigneron" to express even better his great ability to interpret Pinot Nero from the "small" Bourgogne to the smallest facets of the Volnay passing through the Pommards: wines fine, elegant extraordinary examples of Pinot Noir in Côte de Beaune.
