Description
What kind of wine is it
Medici Ermete Gran Concerto Lambrusco Metodo Classico is a red sparkling wine with the Reggiano designation, produced in Emilia-Romagna, which is made exclusively from Lambrusco Salamino grapes. In the glass, it displays a bright ruby red colour with garnet highlights, animated by a fine and very persistent perlage. The aromatic profile offers an expressive bouquet dominated by notes of ripe red fruit, such as cherries and plums, intertwined with delicate floral hints and aromatic herbs. On the palate, it is dry and intense, revealing a harmonious flavour profile, supported by elegant minerality and a pleasantly fruity finish.
Where does it come from
This wine has its roots in Emilia-Romagna, specifically in the area of Reggio Emilia. The grapes come from the Tenuta La Rampata, where the clay soils give the wine remarkable structure and a solid continuity of flavour. Its inclusion in the Reggiano designation defines a distinctive style, capable of best expressing the character of the region. Thanks to its dynamic nature, this sparkling wine pairs beautifully with mixed boiled meats, mature cheeses, and the flavourful first courses of local cuisine.
How is it produced
The winemaking process strictly follows the techniques of the Traditional Method, with a second fermentation in the bottle that enhances the qualities of the raw material. The base wine matures in stainless steel containers to maintain maximum aromatic purity, before undergoing 26 months of ageing on the lees. This prolonged period encourages the development of a creamy and persistent mousse. The Brut dosage defines a dynamic and dry profile, perfect for ensuring a harmonious and structured final tasting experience.

Today the company owns about 80 hectares of vineyards (grown entirely organically), distributed among the areas with the highest wine-making vocation in the Emilia-Romagna region, and exports to over 70 countries in the world. Now in their fifth generation, represented by Alessandro, the Medici family can boast solid experience in the vineyard as well as the cellar.
They won their wager: the maximum enhancement of their wines. The winning idea was to create a close link between the territory and the wines produced, the rigorous selection of grapes, at the cost of a yield per hectare even 30-40% lower than the DOC regulations, but the guaranteeing wines of unprecedented quality.
