Description
What kind of wine is it
Concerto Lambrusco Reggiano Secco by Medici Ermete is an organic sparkling red wine with controlled designation of origin, produced in Emilia-Romagna from Lambrusco Salamino grapes. After natural fermentation in steel vats, it reveals a clear aromatic profile with notes of strawberry, raspberry and cherry, enriched by hints of blackberry, elderberry and subtle balsamic nuances. On the palate, it is dry, lively and fresh, with soft tannins and a harmonious, easy-drinking finish.
Where does it come from
The grapes are grown at the La Rampata Estate in Gaida, in the heart of Reggio Emilia. The vines take root in fertile clay soils between the hills and the upper plain, a composition that imparts great expressive intensity to the bunches. The climate alternates hot summers with winters marked by enveloping mists. These conditions ensure regular ripening, which is essential to preserve the typical lively flavour of this Lambrusco Reggiano, an authentic expression of its place of origin.
How is it produced
In the vineyard, the Lambrusco Salamino vines are trained using the spur cordon method. The cellar process involves natural fermentation in steel vats, a technique essential for maintaining the primary aromas and varietal fragrance. Thanks to this method, the wine retains its intrinsic freshness. Served chilled, it offers harmonious pairings with the classics of Emilian cuisine, enhancing lasagne, tortellini and cured meats, but it also pairs perfectly with mature cheeses and grilled meats.
History and Curiosities
The renowned Lambrusco Reggiano Concerto reinterprets the Latin etymology of “wild vine”, transforming it into a refined Emilian symphony. Founded in 1898, the historic Medici Ermete winery of Reggio Emilia has made this fine organic Reggiano DOC a true emblem of excellence. Its international prestige is sealed by countless awards at competitions such as Mundus Vini and by the constant achievement of the Three Glasses Gambero Rosso, milestones that celebrate a centuries-old winemaking tradition capable of captivating palates all over the world.
