Description
What kind of wine it is
Beaurevoir Rosé by M. Chapoutier is a still rosé wine from the Rhône Valley, an authentic expression of Tavel. It is made from a complex blend of Bourboulenc, Cinsault, Clairette, Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah grapes. Visually, it displays a raspberry pink colour with bright ruby highlights. The bouquet is broad, marked by notes of ripe cherry, blackcurrant and small red fruits, enriched by hints of fresh almond and soft spices. On the palate, it is dry, powerful and full-bodied, balanced by a clear mineral streak and a vibrant freshness that carries the sip towards a persistent finish.
Where it comes from
This rosé originates in the southern sector of the Rhône Valley, in an area between Avignon and the Pont du Gard. Tavel is renowned worldwide for being a region dedicated exclusively to the production of rosé wines of great depth. The vines grow on poor soils composed of limestone pebbles and red clays, benefiting from a climate characterised by intense heat. These conditions favour excellent aromatic concentration and give the wine its renowned juicy structure, faithfully reflecting the identity of its place of origin.
How it is produced
The vinification aims to extract the best colour component while preserving maximum expressive clarity. The grapes undergo a short maceration on the skins, lasting between twenty-four and thirty-six hours, an essential step in defining the wine's hue. Through the saignée technique, the must is gently separated from the solid parts, concentrating the body and aromas. Maturation in vats preserves the fruit's fragrance until bottling in spring, ensuring a dry finish and impeccable taste balance.
