Description
What kind of wine it is
Filari di Timorasso by Luigi Boveri is a still white wine that expresses the essence of Timorasso grapes grown in Piedmont. Produced in the Colli Tortonesi area, it appears with an intense, crystalline golden yellow colour. On the nose, it releases an intense and persistent aroma, enriched with notes of pineapple, grapefruit and yellow flowers, with elegant mineral nuances. On the palate, it reveals a full and elegant flavour, supported by a great balance of taste and remarkable intensity, characteristics that make it ideal for ageing over time.
Where it comes from
This wine originates in the heart of the Colli Tortonesi, in Piedmont. The vineyards, trained using the Guyot system, are situated at an altitude of three hundred metres with optimal southern exposure. Rooted in marl-limestone soils, the vines benefit from excellent pedoclimatic conditions. The combination of these geographical and agronomic factors gives the wine a pronounced aromatic intensity and a perceptible mineral component, reflecting the meticulous agricultural work carried out by the Luigi Boveri winery.
How it is produced
Vinification begins with a gentle pressing and subsequent clarification of the must, which ferments at a controlled temperature. The process continues with maturation in a steel tank for twelve months, during which regular bâtonnage is performed, an essential technique to enhance the structure and volume on the palate. Subsequently, the wine undergoes a further maturation for another twelve months, which stabilises its consistency and allows it to achieve its distinctive persistence and elegance on the palate.
History and Curiosities
Born in 1998 from the experience of Luigi Boveri, Filari di Timorasso celebrates the winemaking excellence of the Colli Tortonesi. The vines thrive at an altitude of 300 metres on marl-limestone soils facing south, ensuring grapes of the highest quality. After gentle pressing, the clear must ferments at a controlled temperature of 18-20 °C. The meticulous ageing with bâtonnage in autoclave for 12 months, followed by a year of rest in the bottle, gives this DOC wine a full and elegant structure, with great balance and an intensity that evolves over time.

Thirty years of experience, courage and hard work for a wine family that, along with other pioneering producers, has made history in the Tortonese Hills.
Until the 1990s, management was done in the traditional way; it was with the arrival of Luigi, that the method and production were completely revolutionized. since 1992, in fact, Luigi Boveri, the founder’s grandson, with the help of his wife Germana decided to direct production exclusively toward viticulture, abandoning the cultivation of cereals and fodder.
"From those years began the winemaking that I like, That of the winemakers. Not "farmer’s" wine, badly made, not just industrial wine. A new Era began, that of wine made by an ‘artisan of the earth."
We follow production by making use of constant updates and all those technological innovations that allow us to transform grapes into fine wines of great class. Since 1999 we have been featured in all Italian wine guides, placing us at the top for producing high-level wines throughout the Colli Tortonesi hill community. Read more
