Description
What kind of wine is it
Lux Vitis is an intense red wine from Tuscany with Indicazione Geografica Tipica, produced by Tenuta Luce. It is created from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese and matured in oak barrels. In the glass, it reveals a structured and dry profile, offering a clear bouquet where red fruit notes intertwine with lively spices and delicate toasted nuances. On the palate, it expresses remarkable power combined with strict elegance, supported by a dense tannic texture and a solid balance between freshness and body. The tasting concludes with a long and deep aromatic persistence.
Where does it come from
This red originates in the Montalcino area, within the splendid Tuscan setting of Tenuta Luce. Rigorous vineyard practices ensure low yields and highly concentrated fruit, essential elements in defining the wine's distinctive character. All this gives this label a remarkable longevity, making it suitable for constant evolution over time.
How is it produced
Vinification begins with meticulous manual harvesting, followed by alcoholic fermentation in cement vats for twelve days at a controlled temperature. Subsequently, the must undergoes a twenty-day maceration on the skins, an essential step to extract an intense colour and a solid phenolic component. Once this phase is complete, malolactic fermentation takes place directly in wood. The process concludes with twenty-four months of ageing in new French oak barrels, a prolonged period that shapes the structure and enriches the wine's organoleptic profile.

From that meeting a wine was born, inspired by an ambitious project and linked to one of Tuscany's election territories for the production of outstanding wines. The project consisted in creating a wine in Montalcino that would go beyond the boundaries of tradition, without denying it, by drawing on the experience of two historical families in the world of wine.
The dream took shape in Tenuta Luce, a name that evokes the light of the Montalcino sun, which is the source of life and nourishment, which marks the passage of the seasons and gives rhythm to every agricultural activity.
Since then, Tenuta Luce has always honoured this vision, and the estate's flagship wine, Luce, has been joined by other exclusive wines, capable of transcending the boundaries of their own territory, earning unanimous acclaim internationally. Read more
