Description
What kind of wine it is
Cuvée Blanche Letrari is a Traditional Method sparkling wine that enhances the Trento region. Made from Chardonnay, it displays a bright golden yellow colour. On the nose, it reveals notes of yellow-fleshed fruit, green apple and citrus, enriched by hints of citron, bay leaf and white flowers. On the palate, it is fresh, savoury and creamy, with a liveliness that accompanies a sip of good structure and a clean finish. This Brut sparkling wine is excellent to enjoy young, but it is also capable of evolving in the cellar for several years.
Where it comes from
This sparkling wine originates in Vallagarina, a wine-growing area located between Trento and Rovereto. The vines grow in well-ventilated high hillside vineyards, benefiting from a microclimate moderated by Lake Garda and the River Adige. The soils, composed of stone and limestone, give the wine a distinct savoury character and a clear texture, ensuring consistent ripening. The combination of these environmental factors results in a crisp, dynamic sip that is true to its place of origin.
How it is produced
Production begins with manual harvesting and gentle pressing of the grapes. The first fermentation takes place in stainless steel at a controlled temperature to maintain a clean aromatic profile. The secondary fermentation occurs according to the Traditional Method, activated in the bottle with selected yeasts. This is followed by ageing on the lees for at least twenty-four months, which gives the wine a rich creaminess and prolongs its elegant herbal and citrus notes.
