Where it comes from

This white originates in Burgundy, the renowned wine region of France, within the prestigious Viré-Clessé appellation. The Les Heritiers du Comte Lafon winery cultivates a vineyard heritage of twenty-one hectares managed with meticulous agronomic care. Through targeted production, the estate interprets the peculiarities of the land, delivering a faithful expression of the French terroir, capable of combining aromatic vibrancy with a profound geographical identity.

How it is produced

The vinification of Chardonnay in this interpretation aims to preserve the clarity of its aromas and structural balance. To enhance its organoleptic qualities, it is advisable to serve the wine at a temperature between ten and twelve degrees, with no need for decanting. Its versatility makes it ideal for pairing with white fish dishes, vegetarian recipes, white meats, foie gras and soft cheeses. It also boasts remarkable ageing potential, allowing it to evolve positively over time, offering ever greater taste complexity.

In 1999 he began the adventure in the mâconnais of Dominique Lafon that buys the first part of the 21.5 hectares that today make up the property south of the Côte de Beaune, in that area that more and more gives elegant wines and at the same time "fresh" and easy to drink. There are three imported wines, some with vinification only in steel and others with vinification in steel and in large 60-hectolitre casks.

Sole chardonnay grapes in the domaine for an average production of 140,000 bottles for a wine more and more the result of the experience and style of the eclectic Dominique which brought in Mâcon that finesse but above all the depth of the great wines of Burgundy.
