Description
What kind of wine it is
Ronco delle Acacie is an organic white wine that expresses the soul of Chardonnay grown in the Eastern Hills of Friuli. In the glass, it reveals a golden colour, a prelude to a rich aromatic profile of tropical fruit, apricot and Saturn peach, intertwined with buttery hints, vanilla and clear mineral notes. On the palate, this structured white wine offers a sip with pronounced freshness and savouriness, balanced by a pleasant softness. The persistent finish with hints of dried fruit makes it ideal for elegantly accompanying fish dishes, poultry and mature cheeses.
Where it comes from
Le Vigne di Zamò cultivates its vineyards in Manzano, in a fascinating border territory that stretches parallel to Slovenia. The different microclimatic conditions between the cooler hills to the north and the warmer areas to the south favour a balanced ripening of the grapes. The vines are tended through manual work and sustainable methods, in full respect of the natural environment. This rigorous agronomic attention allows for the harvesting of healthy and expressive bunches, ensuring the glass has a strong identity and profound taste precision.
How it is produced
The manual harvest selects the ripest bunches at the beginning of September. In the winery, the grapes undergo direct pressing without destemming, using only the best part of the must to ensure the highest extractive quality. Fermentation begins in steel and then finishes in French oak barrels, where part of the batch spontaneously undergoes malolactic fermentation. After ten months of ageing in wood, the different lots are blended into the final blend. Resting in the bottle completes the process, delivering a solid and balanced white wine.
History and Curiosities
Born in Manzano, on the border with Slovenia, this fine organic Chardonnay expresses the soul of the Colli Orientali. Le Vigne di Zamò, founded in 1978 and a pioneer in Friuli, cultivates 43 hectares using strict sustainable methods. In the cellar, innovation blends with tradition. After two years of resting in the bottle, the wine reaches the market offering a sip that celebrates dedication and a historic Friulian excellence.

The company is fortunate to draw from three different terroirs that give the wines different and unique characters and personalities. The Zamò family has been cultivating the land for centuries: first the grandfather, then the father and finally the sons, all united under the same goal: cultivating the land and making wine as a sign of civilisation and respect for their origins and traditions,
In addition to great white wines, including Friulano and Ribolla Gialla, the company focuses on red wines to maintain the indigenous grape varieties and to pursue new projects and innovations. For years, the Zamò family has been conducting cultivation with sustainability-conscious methods, and in 2021 they obtained the first Certified Organic grape harvest. Read more
