Description
What kind of wine it is
Franciacorta Nodens Blanc de Noirs Extra Brut by Le Marchesine is a wine produced using the Traditional Method exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes. It appears a pale pink colour with coppery highlights, enhanced by a very fine and persistent perlage. The bouquet recalls red fruits, with notes of raspberry and blackberry intertwined with mineral nuances and a hint of chocolate. On the palate, it offers a dry, lively sip with excellent structure, culminating in a long and satisfying finish.
Where it comes from
This wine originates from the vineyards of Passirano, located in the heart of Franciacorta. The environmental conditions of the area enhance the characteristics of Pinot Noir, resulting in a wine with a bold and authentic profile. The Le Marchesine winery reflects the dedication of the Biatta family, who have been involved in local viticulture since 1835. Their production approach aims to highlight the terroir, allowing them to produce a Blanc de Noirs with a clear mineral imprint and a strong expressive identity.
How it is produced
The grapes are harvested by hand and gently pressed as whole bunches. The white vinification of Pinot Noir takes place without skin contact, using indigenous yeasts at controlled temperatures. After resting in stainless steel, the secondary fermentation occurs in the bottle according to the rules of the Traditional Method. The wine matures for at least 36 months on the lees in temperature-controlled environments. This long ageing period defines its flavour profile before riddling and final disgorgement.
