Description

What kind of wine it is

La Scolca Soldati d’Antan Rosé Metodo Classico Brut is a rosé sparkling wine made from a blend of Cortese and Pinot Noir grapes. Produced using the Traditional Method, it stands out for its pale pink colour and extremely fine perlage. On the nose, it reveals notes of pastry and white chocolate, followed by hints of exotic fruits, honey and spices. On the palate, it is dry and well-structured, supported by a vibrant freshness. The velvety texture accompanies a persistent finish, with echoes of almond and candied fruit.

Where it comes from

This sparkling wine originates in the heart of the Gavi region in Piedmont. This area, inextricably linked to La Scolca, produces grapes with remarkable aromatic precision and natural acidity, key elements for outstanding sparkling wine bases. The unique soil and climate conditions are reflected in the wine’s expressive freshness, ensuring perfect balance and a dry sip that enhances the complex evolution of its aromas.

How it is produced

Production involves secondary fermentation in the bottle, the core of the Traditional Method. Maturation on the lees lasts for around ten years, a crucial period that gives the wine aromatic breadth and a smooth taste. Served chilled, it enhances shellfish, fish dishes and white meats. Thanks to its solid structure, it can accompany an entire meal or vegetarian dishes, and also proves to be an excellent meditation wine.

History and Curiosities
