Description
What kind of wine it is
The Oltrepò Pavese Pinot Nero Frizzante Vinificato in Bianco by Giorgi stands out for its pale straw yellow colour with greenish highlights. In the glass, it displays a fine and persistent perlage that accompanies a clean and delicate bouquet, with notes of apple and peach. On the palate, this sparkling wine is harmonious and smooth, supported by an elegant structure and a pleasant lingering taste.
Where it comes from
This wine originates from Oltrepò Pavese, in Lombardy, a prime area for Pinot Noir. The Giorgi brand, founded in 1875, enhances the identity of the local wine scene. The harvest in baskets takes place between the end of August and the beginning of September, maintaining a low yield to preserve the integrity of the bunches. Careful agronomic management enhances the Lombard vineyards, offering an authentic expression of the region.
How it is produced
The process involves the white vinification of Pinot Noir grapes, which are gently pressed upon arrival at the winery. The free-run must is immediately separated from the skins to enhance sensory finesse. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature with selected yeasts. A serving temperature between six and eight degrees is recommended, ideal for accompanying shellfish, delicate risottos, lean fish or pizzas.
History and Curiosities

Under the guidance of oenologist Andrea Bonfanti, the company combines an artisanal spirit with modern technologies, creating an authentic Oltrepò Pavese DOC. The result is an excellent sparkling Pinot Noir that enhances the region and proudly celebrates the brand’s established international prestige.

The Giorgi family has always firmly focused on the entire production chain: from the grape to the bottle, laying the foundations from the beginning to realise their grand project of creating a significant wine company. This project became a reality as early as 1970, when the brothers, Gianfranco and Antonio, built a second winery, modern and technologically very advanced, in Canneto Pavese.
With the construction of the third winery in Camponoce, Giorgi finally achieved national consecration in the 1980s, with a sales network of 80 representatives and a presence in the best restaurants and wine shops nationwide.
Today Giorgi Vini exports to 59 countries worldwide, has more than 160 agents in Italy, and has won the most important international and national awards (Three Glasses by Gambero Rosso and Five Bunches sommelier). In addition, Giorgi proudly represents Oltrepò Pavese in Italy and the world. Read more
