Description
What kind of wine it is
Rèmole Bianco by Frescobaldi is a still wine with a clear profile, an authentic expression of the Tuscan territory. This blend combines Trebbiano Toscano and Vermentino grapes, presenting itself in the glass with bright golden hues. The bouquet opens with notes of apple, pear and pineapple, enriched by elegant hints of hawthorn and white flowers. On the palate it is enveloping, driven by a marked savouriness and a pleasant structural freshness. The finish is clean, with light citrus notes and a subtle hint of honey, making it ideal to accompany seafood risottos and white meats.
Where it comes from
This wine originates from the hilly area of Villa di Remole, located between Pontassieve and Pelago, in the heart of Tuscany. The vineyards are situated at altitudes between 150 and 500 metres, with roots sinking into deep clayey sandstone. This soil composition defines a particularly distinct taste sensation. The growing cycle is supported by a regular climate, with mild winters, rainy springs that replenish water reserves, and summers tempered by beneficial temperature variations, elements that ensure grapes with lively freshness.
How it is produced
The production process begins in mid-September with a careful selection of the bunches. The musts are processed through fermentation in steel for four months. Malolactic fermentation is deliberately avoided to maintain a taut and dynamic flavour profile. This is followed by a resting period and a brief ageing in steel for one month, an essential phase to preserve the original fruity fragrance, aromatic clarity and to guarantee a wine with excellent smoothness.
