Description
What kind of wine it is
Franc Lizer Spumante Opale Blanc de Blancs Zero Alcohol offers all the pleasure of a toast to those seeking a non-alcoholic alternative. In the glass, it appears a pale straw yellow, enlivened by a fine perlage that enhances the vibrancy of each sip. The bouquet is clear and fragrant, characterised by hints of apple and delicate notes of white flowers. On the palate, it reveals a pleasant freshness, supported by a pleasant acidity that finds harmonious balance in a soft texture, perfect to serve well chilled.
Where it comes from
This label originates in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, a region renowned for its winemaking tradition. The vineyards grow on gravelly soil rich in marl and alluvial sediments, elements that give the drink a clean structure and a dry flavour profile. The regional character ensures an agile and versatile drink, capable of enhancing the table with great balance. It pairs perfectly with light starters, fresh cheeses, white meats and delicate preparations based on lean fish.
How it is produced
Production begins with harvesting the grapes at their optimal ripeness. After destemming and a gentle pressing, white vinification and fermentation in steel tanks follow. The sparkling process takes place using the Charmat Method, thus preserving the aromatic liveliness. This is followed by an innovative dealcoholisation process at room temperature: this technique allows the removal of the alcoholic component while maintaining the original colour, structure and bouquet of the wine intact.
History and Curiosities
Born in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, the alcohol-free sparkling wine Opale Blanc de Blancs by Franc Lizer represents an elegant reinterpretation of the Charmat method. Its uniqueness lies in an innovative dealcoholisation at room temperature, an entirely Italian process managed in-house that removes the alcohol while preserving the colour, structure, and aromas intact. After gentle pressing and fermentation in steel, the addition of carbon dioxide provides an authentic and lively toast, best enjoyed within one or two years.
