Description
What kind of wine it is
Fontanasanta Nosiola by Foradori is an unfiltered orange wine that enhances the Vineyards of the Dolomites. In the glass, it appears straw yellow with golden hues, revealing a fresh profile where acidity and tannin find an ideal balance. The aromatic bouquet offers notes of citrus, apple and exotic fruit, intertwined with hints of star anise, chamomile, beeswax and orange blossom. On the palate, it is intense and endowed with a long structural persistence, making it the perfect companion for shellfish dishes, blue cheeses and white meats.
Where it comes from
The wine originates in Trentino Alto Adige, in the Mezzolombardo area, and is the pure expression of Nosiola, an ancient local native grape variety. This variety expresses its full potential on poor soils, producing wines of great longevity. The clay and limestone soils impart freshness and a distinct territorial identity. In the vineyard, Foradori adopts strict organic and biodynamic farming, a fundamental approach to obtaining grapes rich in vitality, ready for meticulous artisanal transformation in the cellar.
How it is produced
The production process focuses on prolonged fermentation in contact with the skins. The must rests for eight months in porous clay amphorae, the traditional tinajas of Villarrobledo. The natural porosity of the material encourages a slow and balanced evolution, delicately extracting the character of the grape variety. Ageing continues partly in acacia barrels, elements that enrich the complexity of the sip. To fully appreciate every nuance, a decanting of several hours before serving is recommended.
