Description
What kind of wine it is
San Greg by Feudi di San Gregorio is a still rosé wine produced in Campania from Aglianico grapes. It stands out for its fresh and fruity aromatic profile, supported by an elegant structure that encourages easy drinking. Its remarkable versatility makes it ideal for accompanying starters, proving to be an excellent choice from aperitif through to dinner thanks to its consistent precision and aromatic clarity.
Where it comes from
The grapes come from the hills of Irpinia in Campania, from vineyards situated up to seven hundred metres above sea level. The excellent sun exposure and constant ventilation give the wine freshness and definition. The soils, characterised by a marly-calcareous and marly-sandy matrix, provide balance and linearity. The vineyards are carefully selected to enhance the most suitable plots for producing this style of wine.
How it is produced
Following the manual harvest, the grapes undergo a gentle pressing, essential for extracting the noblest fraction of the must. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, between sixteen and eighteen degrees, preserving the integrity of the original fruity component. The process concludes with four months of ageing, also in steel, to maintain a clear and fragrant flavour profile.
