Description

What kind of wine is it

Feudi di San Gregorio Falanghina Brut is a Brut white sparkling wine from Campania that faithfully expresses the character of Falanghina. To the eye, it appears straw yellow with golden highlights, crossed by a delicate perlage. On the nose, it reveals clear notes of peach, Golden apple, chamomile and apricot. The palate is lively and vibrant, enlivened by a pronounced freshness that leads to a finish characterised by clean varietal returns.

Where does it come from

This wine originates in Sorbo Serpico, in Irpinia. The vines grow on distinctive volcanic soils, a terroir that, in synergy with the significant temperature variations, imparts a marked aromatic complexity. This pedoclimate delivers a lively sip, defined by an intact fruity profile and a pronounced freshness, ideal for accompanying seafood starters, shellfish and soft cheeses.

How is it produced

The vinification of the grapes strictly follows the Charmat Method. The sparkling phase in autoclave ensures a Brut dosage capable of preserving the natural dynamism of Falanghina. The result is a tasting experience with a dry and fragrant character, endowed with the structure necessary to achieve excellent ageing potential from five to ten years.

History and Curiosities

Produced in Sorbo Serpico, this Falanghina Brut from Feudi di San Gregorio embodies the true sparkling wine vocation of Irpinia. Crafted with expert care using the Charmat Method, it masterfully enhances grapes grown on volcanic soils, where significant temperature variations give the wine an extraordinary aromatic complexity. This prestigious winery, certified as a B Corp, creates an excellence capable of evolving beautifully for 5-10 years, acclaimed by critics such as Robert Parker for its perfect balance between tradition and innovation.
